What was it like?

What was it like to have your first mother's day?

Let's see, someone, (not naming names *cough Dylan cough*) woke up at midnight last night and did not fall back to sleep until 3:30am. Other people tried everything in their little books to figure out how to make said baby go back to sleep. It finally took a call to our pediatrician that told her we mean business and you should be sleeping. So she finally fell asleep then woke up again at 5ish in the morning. She got up at 8am for the day.

We had bunch with Grandma LeeLee. It was busy like last year but this time we got there early enough to get seated right away and our food somewhat quickly. We decided to forgo a morning nap since schedule were all screwed up anyway and went over to Grandma Janet and Grandpa Jack's house. We hung out with them for a little while. Then someone fell asleep in the car so we drove around and talked for a while. Then we realize that we should be getting home for someone to finish their nap in their crib and said parents could take a nap. We all did not wake up until 3pm. That was nice.

Then as dorks that we are, we headed off to the library to pick up some books and went to Whole Foods to pick up some dinner. It was super good. Turkey meatloaf, Corn on the cob, Kale Salad and Potatoes.

I would not change this day if I could. We got to spent time as a family. It went to fast. Today was one of those days that really test you as a mother but I would still put that baby up for adoption (Just Kidding). I love that baby so much.
