Poor Peanut Day

Peanut had a cold. She was quite happy about it. She was sad and sleepy at time but for the most part she was her smily happy little self. I took her to the store to get some peanut stuff and she was smiling and laughing at the store employees. We saw her grandma LeeLee and she was happy over there as well. She took 3 naps today to make up for sleeping in our bed last night and waking up super early. Other then a runny nose, a cough here or there (which we got a humidifier today) and some sneezing (sun related or cold related), she was her happy normal self.

I guess that would be an ode to us for having such a happy little child.

Also, I gave here some really small pieces of avocado today and she gagged on them and threw them up. Yep, my daughter is not ready for finger food yet or hates avocado at this time in her life.

I'm sticking with my veggies, ma

Today, we introduced ground Turkey to Dylan's diet. I prepped it by just frying it up. I blended it then serve.

She was about in this outfit for about 30 minutes at the most before she took one big bite of the ground turkey then threw up all over her clothes. She started out with gagging then throwing it up at the same time. Then I quickly cleaned her up and gave her some sweet potatoes with multi-grain rice cereal. She did not want to believe me that I could give her something other then the turkey so she refused at first. Then I put some on her lips and she opened wide.

The moral of the story, she is sticking with her fruits and veggies for now.

Dylan's First Tooth

This post was going to be all about the mommy & baby yoga class that I was going to go to today in the city but I got called away to babysit Liam. So this new post was going to be all about the adventures of Liam and Dylan today but I discover something really cool.

Dylan got her first tooth. I discovered it while feeding her a HUGE meal. She had 2 oz of pears, 4 oz of plain/pear yogurt, one puff and 4 oz bottle. She was one hungry little girl. She had a half of a puff in her mouth when I discover the little sharp pointy thing in her mouth. She did not want me to touch her mouth. She was abnormally fussy today with no nap taking early this morning. Then car nap taking on our way to Shannon's. She did not want me to hold Liam and herself at the same time. She fell asleep while in the car seat on the way home. So I really don't know when the first tooth happen today but IT HAPPEN!!! I have been loading her up with a homeopathic teething stuff for the last few hours of the day until she fell asleep. She went to bed at 6pm as well. Hopefully, she will get a great night of sleep. Cross your fingers.

Baby Food Again

Since, I have been making Dylan's baby food, I have realize that she really wants to eat what we are eating. But I am so not ready for that. I really don't want her eating the same stuff that we are eating, that means she is getting way to old and I want my tiny little baby back. But I have a sense that she is getting bored with what we are giving her. I have made since the last post, apples, acorn squash and you know the usual.

I have also picked up some other types of baby food. Happy Baby and Tasty Baby from the bigger super Targets. They have a nice mixture of food like Happy Baby has one that is organic pears, organic spinach, organic mango and the other one that is organic spinach, organic green beans, organic peas, organic brown rice. She really like the spinach, mango and pears. The other one is alright, nothing to write home about. But do you notice that it is all organic. I have realize that Dylan's diet really is all organic all the time. The food I buy her to make is always organic and the Happy Baby & Tasty Baby is organic even her formula is USDA Organic.

I really want her diet to be more organic because she will hopefully have a good head start on life and eating right. She would not have to worry about it in the long run because she had such a good solid base to start. It makes me feel good that all the food I am giving her is organic and natural. I don't know if that is just crazy or me just trying to be a good parent but I feel good about giving her organics.

The Happy Baby and Tasty Baby is more to give my mom while she is watching her. Or the Tasty Baby is easier to transport to her house without having to use plastic bags all the time. It defeats the purpose if you are always using wasteful items to transport the stuff. Beside freezers bag are not all they crack up to be since I do have freezer burn on her food. I hate plastic bags. Does anyone know a better way to store her food without freezer burn? Something to think about while I have my two weeks off.

hmmm

What to write about today? Since, she was super cranky last night, she sleep until 7:30am. She would have sleep longer but her father woke her up. She just hung out there for awhile. So I took a shower and got dressed. She still did not want to get up.

After I got home, she was more mellow. I gave her some soilds, today, a combo platter of green peas, mango & pears?. It was from happy baby.

Now I remember what I was going to write about today. I will do that tomorrow.
