If this face could ...

As I was sitting in the living room...

I did not realize that Dylan was in her bedroom with her milk. Then she came rip roaring out of her bedroom so I got up to investigate what she was doing in her bedroom. Once I walked in and notice the laundry had moved. I moved the basket. She had spilled all her milk all over the carpet.

She was so proud of her mess.

Dylan Met Dylan

We were in the check out line at Barbies R Us, (Yes, I know) and we were right behind a Dylan. We turned to look at this roughly 3 year old girl came running. My Dylan looked confused because she was like Dylan, that's my name.

It was so cute to see Dylan interacting with Dylan.

Daily Dylan Funny

All the random little things I post on facebook that you might not be able to read.

She picked up the remote, turned on the TV, turn down the volume, hit mute, walked away with said remote, walked into the bedroom to find the cat and squeal at her.

Nick put a owl on the top of the huskie dog and she looked over at and squeal at the top of her lungs.

Also, with said stuffed animals, she whips poor innocent little bears away to grab the weridness stuff animals. While she is throwing the little teddy bears away, she is laughing her head off.

Every morning, she likes to come into the living room and take down all the TV DVD's and the CD's.

She likes to make dirty faces at herself in the mirror then turns away to look back at herself laughing.

goodnight

Rambling Mommy Post

Yes, it is the 5th of May and I have written in almost a week. I am tired!! Plain and Simple. Work has been crazy busy and I want nothing to do by the end of the day but to go to sleep.

Things I learned this week: Dylan really doesn't like it when I cry. She cry and gets just as upset when I am crying myself. It was about my missing Court Yard Hounds Cd. I preordered it months ago to get it on Monday and it did not show up. Even though it said it was delivered. I went out to Target to get a new one thanks to a certain Grandma LeeLee for a target gift card.

Speaking of Target, there was a Children's medication recall this week. I am the smarter mom to buy the Target Generic (Tylenol & Mortin) to begin with so we were not effective by the recall. Go Us! It is cheaper anyway and the same thing. It was nice to not sweat this one.

Other then this, we chilled today. Had a very relaxing day. Well needed!

Teaser Photos

There are fleeting moments in a day like today where she wants to ram her face into my face. She is happy about it. She loves to look at me as I love to look at her. She will just give me kisses and try to bite me. I know these moment will start being few and far between because she will be older. Her face is starting to become more little toddler like. In just a few more precious months, she will become my little toddler but for right now, she is my baby.

I am using teaser photos right now because I have not update my flickr account yet.

The Very Last Day I can say...

Today is the very last day I can say that I had you in my tummy longer then you have been out of my tummy. Yep, as of tomorrow, the pregnancy will just be a fleeting memory of that time where I had 9 months to think about all the great things we were going to do together. It's funny how those little 9 months are just a fleeting moment in time. She will always clock more time out of the womb then inside and that is the goal. To have a child to watch them grow and develop and get colds. Oh yes, her cold is getting better. As a first time mom, you spent all your time thinking about the pregnancy. Is the baby getting enough from me? Is she going to have my eyes and your check bones? Is she going to be super smart like her auntie? What are we going to tell her about her auntie? What is life going to be like with a baby? All these questions run through a new parent's head at all hours at all times. Don't forget there are the times where I can't wait to get this baby out of me and others like OMG she will be coming out.

Enjoy some of the pictures of 8 months, 4 weeks, 1 day...

More Sick Baby

Last week or maybe two weeks ago, I stated that Dylan was not feeling all that great. She had a runny nose. That was it. Sometime last week, someone gave her a full blown cold. She is coughing really bad, complete runny nose. Her poor little nose is all raw and red from me trying to clean it. She is not a happy baby at all. She is clingy and mad at everyone that come near her with a tissue.

Really sad sick baby that we are gong to miss our sign language class tomorrow. :(

I laugh at time

That's right, peanut, just laugh in the time changes face. It did not affected her at all. When the time went back, she slept longer as for the time jumping forward, it did not faze her one bit. Granted, she got the most runny nose ever. She is coughing pretty hard every so often. Plus, she is teething. So she is got issues at the moment. Poor sweet baby.

Poor Peanut Day

Peanut had a cold. She was quite happy about it. She was sad and sleepy at time but for the most part she was her smily happy little self. I took her to the store to get some peanut stuff and she was smiling and laughing at the store employees. We saw her grandma LeeLee and she was happy over there as well. She took 3 naps today to make up for sleeping in our bed last night and waking up super early. Other then a runny nose, a cough here or there (which we got a humidifier today) and some sneezing (sun related or cold related), she was her happy normal self.

I guess that would be an ode to us for having such a happy little child.

Also, I gave here some really small pieces of avocado today and she gagged on them and threw them up. Yep, my daughter is not ready for finger food yet or hates avocado at this time in her life.

Baby Sign Language Class

For the next 3 more wednesdays, we will be taking a sign language class center on learning signs for babies.

We learned all about the family today. Words: Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt, Uncle, Cousins, Niece, Nephew and so on. We learned the signs to the song "The more we get together". We are going to talk to Dylan in context of the word instead of just "flashcarding" her. I would hope that her grandparents and aunts & uncles will pick up on the signs or ask about the sign for certain items and use them with her.

I would love it if she was expose to signing all the time so she can communicate with us, her wants and needs. Hopefully, she will be able to sign back to us in about a few months and we will be able to communicate. Yippee!

The Perfect Morning

The little one got up at 6am this morning screeching her little head off. Daddy was so kind enough to get her out of bed because she woke mommy up from a dead sleep that mommy was not really in the mood to get up yet. He brought her into our room like always and feed her the bottle that was prepared. While, mommy still tried to get the last few minutes of sleep. Finally, the milk was gone and mommy was up. Dylan was a happy girl again. She was pleasant and joyful. She hits her daddy with great pride. She rolled around our bed many times. Since, mommy did not need to be at work until 10am she took this opportunity to finish the book she wanted to finish last night. Dylan was not going to have anything of the last 4 chapters of mommy's book so she kicked it until we sat her up. All in All, this morning was a perfect morning and makes me yearn for the day that we can spend the weekends together just chilling in bed relaxing. But at last, by the time this actually happens, someone will no longer be a baby anymore and the perfect morning will be a fleeing thought away.

There will be a new version of a perfect morning then.

I'm sticking with my veggies, ma

Today, we introduced ground Turkey to Dylan's diet. I prepped it by just frying it up. I blended it then serve.

She was about in this outfit for about 30 minutes at the most before she took one big bite of the ground turkey then threw up all over her clothes. She started out with gagging then throwing it up at the same time. Then I quickly cleaned her up and gave her some sweet potatoes with multi-grain rice cereal. She did not want to believe me that I could give her something other then the turkey so she refused at first. Then I put some on her lips and she opened wide.

The moral of the story, she is sticking with her fruits and veggies for now.

Infamous Second Child Debate

After hearing many people talking about this very subject, Nick and I decided to have a very serious conversation about it tonight. Our talk more was will we or won't we have a second child and if we do then when? We have some serious points about NOT having a second child like we can travel more, go to graduate school/figure out what I want to do for a career, we won't have the add expense of more children, we will not be force to get a house/feel pressure to get one.

We have our serious points about having a second child, like Dylan will have SOMEONE closer to her age rather then being the oldest of very, very young cousins, we can use our baby gear again (cloth diapers, slings, clothes...), we can re-do the whole birthing/pregnancy experience again and we can prevent Dylan from having that only child syndrome.

Basically, we came up with good points to argue both sides of this debate. So, then begins the question of when... We are moving a year from now. We both can't stand living in IL anymore. We are done. With that being said, there is the question if we do have second child, when should we do this. There is the whole spacing issue like do we want to have them on top of each other or do we want some distance like Dylan is potty trained that way we are not dealing with a newborn and diapered toddler. So, do we get pregnant now and deal with a possible newborn/3 month old while we move or do we get pregnant sometime before we move so I am moving pregnant. We all know how well that worked out last time. Or do we get pregnant right away after we move.

So lots on our mind...generally, if it feels right to add to our family, then we just might add to our family and if it doesn't then our family will be complete as is. No Pressure. We will do right by Dylan and always put her needs before ours and if we feel that her needs have been met by our ways of income/lifestyle then we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Happy 8 Months!!

Dylan,

You are 8 months old today. How did the time fly by so quickly? You went from this tiny little human being who loved to be held and nurse to this moving and grooving infant.

You amazes me everyday by the things that you do. Like right now, you got your 2nd tooth on Tuesday and you spent about 45 minutes on your tummy with NO COMPLAINTS. In fact, you rolled from your back on to your tummy. Actually, you have been rolling from your back to your tummy all day long. We put you on your back for bed tonight and rolled onto your tummy right away then on to your back again then when I went to check on you because you were screaming your head off, you were on your tummy again. You are a mover and shaker. I can't wait to see you move on in this wonderful journey called life. Maybe, mommy and daddy will be kind enough to give you a sibling but for right now, no thank you.

Pretty soon, you are going to leave this nest and you will be on amazing human being. But good thing that is not for a while or hopefully, a long while. Sorry, I just watched the Gilmore Girls Series finale. I love you with all my heart, baby girl. Hopefully, next month will come with new surprises and adventures. Here is to another great month.

I love you.

Barefoot Books Launch Party

Today, I had the Barefoot Books Launch Party at My Corner Playroom's Valentines Day party. I have to admit, it was fairly successful in the sense it got the name out there. I did not get any orders but I did have a few people picking up catalogues and flyers. Dylan, on the other hand, was the picture of the perfect child. She sat there being entrained by all the older kids. She did not cry or get fussy at all. She was the perfect kid. She is the reason why I say, I have such a great kid. Everyone loved her to pieces. She was getting so much love from everyone.

Granted, when we put her to bed tonight, she was the little fussy drama queen. She saved it all for us. Poor Baby.

Dylan's First Tooth

This post was going to be all about the mommy & baby yoga class that I was going to go to today in the city but I got called away to babysit Liam. So this new post was going to be all about the adventures of Liam and Dylan today but I discover something really cool.

Dylan got her first tooth. I discovered it while feeding her a HUGE meal. She had 2 oz of pears, 4 oz of plain/pear yogurt, one puff and 4 oz bottle. She was one hungry little girl. She had a half of a puff in her mouth when I discover the little sharp pointy thing in her mouth. She did not want me to touch her mouth. She was abnormally fussy today with no nap taking early this morning. Then car nap taking on our way to Shannon's. She did not want me to hold Liam and herself at the same time. She fell asleep while in the car seat on the way home. So I really don't know when the first tooth happen today but IT HAPPEN!!! I have been loading her up with a homeopathic teething stuff for the last few hours of the day until she fell asleep. She went to bed at 6pm as well. Hopefully, she will get a great night of sleep. Cross your fingers.
